Ekhart Railway Station

This structure began its life in the 1880s as a Canadian Northern Railway boxcar.

Converted into a temporary station in 1916, it was placed along the rails at the tiny village of Ekhart.

(3.5 miles south of Argyle)

In the 1950s, it was purchased by the Gramiak family & moved to their farm, being donated to the museum in 1991.

Receiving major restoration in 2022-23, this is the ONLY boxcar railway station left in Canada!
